How painkiller pill would know where the pain in the body??

In fact they wouldn't!!..then do they act blindly??
Actually damaged body cells produces a large amount of enzyme 'cyclooxygenase', which acts on cell membrane and leads to the formation of prostaglandins(hormone like substances), which in turn send pain signals to the brain; additionally swelling, redness are also mediated by them -- Pain

Painkiller Pill -- aspirin like drugs when taken, enters into the blood stream, travels all over the body and where the level of the enzyme cyclooxygenase is high, it binds to it and prevents its functions;
So No prostaglandins produces > No pain > No pain signal to nerves system.

But pain isn’t always bad, even if it doesn’t feel very good. Pain is our body’s way of warning of something is wrong so we could fix it. If we didn’t feel pain, we might not realize that there was a problem, and it could get much worse before we notice it.

...and little about painkillers.. broadly they are of 2 types:
type 1 - they don’t remove the pain. Instead they act on the pathway which sends pain signals to the brain and also in the brain to alter the perception of the pain;Steroidal
type 2- actually removes the pain itself; which we take over the counter/ medical shop; Non Steroidal

disclaimer - terms/ biological short answers used may not be 100%, roughly 20 mins of googled knowledge, hence limited understanding.

PS: may be should stick to type 1, do you?

What does the number(within triangle recycle logo) on plastic bottle or cover mean?

It was a work from home day for me, and it was after noon lengthy call and my presence required was least, so left with option - be on mute; I leave it your imagination to guess how WFH productive would it be especially post lunch! as usual look over thing on the table..rolling the water bottle...come across the glancing the description found on bottle bottom... recycle icon(triangular chasing arrows).. that's where I become attentive of googling about that...

Have you ever wondered of small triangle & a number within, mainly located on the bottom of plastic container or bottle, luckily cover doesn't have one! I meant bottom not the number, hence easily noticeable. Need not to worry even if we haven't as the purpose of it is for composite identity & recyclable nature. In other words,

  • How to recycle that specific plastic
  • How toxic that plastic is
  • What should be or not be inside that container,

which is really bigger picture, still pretty table at the bottom here may give kick start, if interested. With the intent of day to day consumption basis, let me touch base 3rd point(Health) and leave the rest(environmental) for your interest.

and the term BPA?... I'm sure you have heard.... developed cities takes about it much nowadays!
Plastic water bottles are made from polyethylene terephthalate. For either of the reason below, it could releases the toxic chemicals antimony and bisphenol A, commonly called BPA. Which is off-course harmful, BUT depends on the level it get mixed and I'd not flag as 1 category and confuse here.

Acceptable we do can't gave up, but try let's compromise with time/money rather health. With that said, just 2 thing to note.

1. One Time Use - #1 mostly found on water bottles which can't be avoided and it's safe too unless kept in high temperature.

2. Re-Use(Reduce Reuse) - Going with #5 or "PP"(Poly Propylene) printed ones, when it comes to re-use as both safe, and very economical to use with the only caveat being that it may not be as pretty and clear/transparent as your PET bottle.

Why alphabets in toll free number?

Randy's Wooster pizza shop in Manchester, right next to Tolland-Buckland junction, their fancy Red lightened toll free number(just similar to "OPEN" sign board on restaurant glass door) would easily catches one's eye while waiting in junction for traffic signal to GREEN, Perhaps they wanted encourage take away and hence their contact number was eye catchy than shop name font. In fact I just googled it prior to this write up as even I couldn't recall that pizza shop name though have glanced that at least 20 times!

Their contact number was something like 'CALL 666 NOW', to be honest with you I had no clues until I saw 1 800-CALL DHL printed on their big courier vehicle some other day. That's the spark, I just saw CALL DHL with well known hotline prefix 1800, and not the 1 800 225 5345, wow how cool was that? friendly name like brand rather series of number, though whatever fancy that be. Each letter in the alphabet corresponds to a number on a number pad. ABC - 2, DEF - 3, GHI - 4, JKL - 5, MNO -6, PQRS - 7, TUV - 8, WXYZ - 9. Most number pads on phones probably show which characters correspond to each number.

Necessity is the mother of invention, heard? History repeats, heard too? have you ever had guess, it was there in black & white generation too! ha ha

Why do people give cash gifts in numbers such as 51, 101, and 501?

Especially in India, cash gift is common for a auspicious occasions like weddings, house warming, any pooja etc..

It was few a week after my marriage, my family started uncovering the gifts/envelops received on the wedding day. As usual it started with unwrapping big attractive ones and then last but not the least - cash gift envelops turn(which is still very common in India likewise amazon card in recent times so called Digital World and elsewhere). A polythene cover contained those envelopes was bit heavier when lifted(I mean't expected be lightweight as that was just cash bills/paper) and upon envelops were taken out, there was so many '1 Rupee coins' at the cover bottom! That is where this question raised like why do people add 1 rupee on top of major denomination(s)??

Below are few reasons from individual opinion and google search, but listed in order of how I felt relevance:
1. Usually people would wanted to return +1 of what was received from them as gift(sorry to call this out, but infact logically yes though).
2. Superstitious belief of metal(coin) brings luck, to be given on top of actual denomination.
3. Numerology - should end by odd number.
4. Should be indivisible(especially for newly wedded couple).

Please leave a comment if better reason found, otherwise I believe this may be useful for now.

PS: For the fellow overseas Indian kids, below the 1 rupee INR cash bill if you haven't seen. Perhaps I guess you may or may not get +1 there, at least I didn't see anywhere in US and in fact it was flat/divisible when we(newly married couple) were invited(sorry if you come across this read), received.

Why are umbrellas generally black in color?

It's not surprising that marketers have been looking for compact & portable version in everything they make, as recent generation demands, especially in overcrowded cities like Mumbai, Bangalore where residential growing upwards w/o shortage of land. Likewise I had an 3 fold umbrella, and carried the same when relocated to Hartford(US), where I hardly see 3 storage apartments w/ ground being basement for laundry & storage, every block or house surrounded by vast green. Even then people like me who resides with temporary work visa, stays in rented apartment have common concern and buys everything of compact version(never know when I will be asked to relocate or leave US). Heavy wind took my first umbrella and soon 2nd, I didn't hurry for 3rd rather gauged few umbrella's in my work floor and surprised to feel weight of those umbrella. It's hard metal and wooden handle - realized! When I back home with 3rd(both bigger & heavier - lesson learnt frm 2 previous) again black umbrella though there were various shades in the store I bought!

Why color black?
In the olden days umbrellas were used only to get protect from rain, though it's being used while hot sun lately. Back in the generation(before synthetic fabric) where thick cotton cloth used for umbrella. When they got wet in the rains, they would take a long time to dry up. Comparatively black absorb more heat and as a result the evaporation process is faster, dries up little early.

Today, umbrellas are made of fabric that doesn't soak water easily, so color not at all a problem; umbrellas come in all shades, few with fancy & fine print too.

Why few, though many wanted to be a winner?

** Let me put T&C at the top rather bottom, because post here is not for attraction rather to understand. YOU in this post refers to human being(he/she) but I’d be portraying as reader for a moment to provide warm comfort.
Winners don’t do different things they do things differently. Take a breath & read bit louder so that your mind can listen once again “It is not WHAT you do, but HOW you do it, that matters.

Believe. Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right. Whether you think you will or won’t, you’re right. It’s your reaction which would wholly influenced from - grown up environment, perception, circumstances, least but considerable - group of people with whom you have grown up;your mind groomed.

Understand that, every human is unique. Though you wanted to follow someone, you would ONLY do what you are but not what you wanted it to be for your world, for anything that matter - that’s where attitude play’s crucial role ‘How you” despite what you doOn side note - You must know what your goal is? Believe it you have chosen it by passion & love. Fact is that every human is unique, so don’t compare with others’.

Be Positive. you must develop the habits of thinking, talking, and acting positive. We all have the choice of how we will handle the day or any situation that we confront. It’s a very simple choice. Are you going to be positive or negative? Charles Swindoll stated it best in one of his quotes, “I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.” So if you respond to what happens to you in life in a positive manner that is the first step to being a winner.

Be brave, even if you’re not;no one can tell the difference.

Don’t major in minor things.

Have Faith; pair faith with belief & everything will turn out well.

Njoy the journey along the d way & pay attention to what you're pursuing rather to the target goal you have set for yourself.

Surround yourself with right people(which could be not easy life for some at times).

The importance of winning isn't WHAT you get it from, rather WHAT you become because of it.

Judge your success by the degree that you're enjoying peace, health and love.

Your life will never get easier, rather by experience you become wiser to react well.

Before you react just believe “Winning is an attitude”, so how you do(= winner) matters the most than what you do(>> participants).  winning attitude

Gujri % Dokota % ale hulli % black & white model % 80's model % vintage % 2-stroke engine % Scrap % classic

Did you say "Dakota"?? NO? perhaps it must be something similar depends upon native language;used to point out any pretty old 2 wheeler vehicle.

I was pretty clueless why it was called so & not even had second though as phrase itself had no conflict. It was hot day, while passing by a village in Manchester(in fact - Manchester has other name too "Town of village charm"), located in eastern Connecticut & saw an very very old truck with name DAKOTA on body side, and wondered by name familiarizes.

Immediate mind map - Ohh!, might be this was the name of vehicle brand back in 80's and later people used the same word to address any scrap old 2 wheeler. As usual approached online guru $Google$. Nothing surprising & to be honest I didn't felt great because of the below. May be even you dear reader would .......loose interest; sorry for that.

It's also a boy name in native America; don't ever check for urban dictionary - may go on crazy

A member of a North American Indian people of the upper Mississippi valley

FYI - Dodge Dakota(a.ka Ram Dakota) was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award for 2000

Have you ever wonder why the wall CLOCKS in-store, are always show 10:10?

You may or mayn't have heard - oh that's just because,
  • It could have be the logo of the very first watch maker
  • May be myths out of the way, memorial 4 Lincoln/ JF. Kennedy/Martin Luther King were shot.
On a side note,
The logo/first time piece maker, in the form of pendent with the hanging spring.
Also, Lincoln was shot at 10:15pm, JF Kendey was shot at 12:30 pm etc..

Actual reason be, that was 1 of 2 options left, to show the clock hands in symmetrical arrangement, while makers evolved accommodating the below over a period:

  1. 1st being the manufacturer's logo
  2. Later on & on - additional elements like date, day, month, AM/PM, year etc.. found their attractive pie around 3, 6 & 9; in-fact looked nice & cool too.
Somehow dial got it's components(leme call it as xtra-fittings or cosmetics😉) on it, and maker too would have satisfied by then. Although model looked nice w/ cosmetics, aren't it's organs(hour & minute hands) important to run(do well in market), and where wud they place it?? That's where the only 2 options(referred previously) left to show hands symmetrically - 8:20 or 10;10.

Marketing apart(despite where/when/whom to sell), what does world accepts?

Logically - 10:10 is not perfectly symmetrical, as the hour hand has moved one-sixth of an hour towards the 11, note that a couple of the timepieces in the picture are actually set to 10:08 or 10:09, presumably for greater symmetry.

Later than never - just in case, if one wish to know who gave the birth to watch?
Peter Henlein the german craftsman is often credited as the inventor of the "clock-watches" (taschenuhr), around Aug 1485.

Trend as taken turn(left? right? u-turn? it's 360 degree; everything @ 1 touch, and when i said everything - something that attracts/be the necessary for one, few BUT need not be for all. And this is where the customize-able takes birth👍

Why do our jeans pants have a small pocket just above the front right pocket?

Though I use jeans pants very often, I get this doubt rarely when:

  • In train, while sleep in upper birth, I shift coins from back pocket to this; to avoid fall on passengers in lower birth.
  • To keep 5 rupees coin Saturday early morning, which serve ticket cost to my village; rather struggling for change as it's very first stop in that route.
  • sometimes to pen-drive so that I may copy some nice movies when visit friends; but never missed to check tiny pocket before dropping it to wash.

I pen down how it got useful to me. But sometimes it's not easy to take stuff out of it without making the scene awkward.

Why this colaveri-de...Was it something useful that was added or it is just a fashion thing?

One fine day remembered when surffing on net, figured out the actual reason behind & that was...

Back in the 1800s, cowboys used to wear their watches on chains and kept them avoid getting broken. Levis introduced this covering mainly cowboys and it continued then on...
http://www.levisguide.com/watchpocket/watchpocket.html

way back Gandhi ji used it without pant, forget pockets LoL:)

You may see people find it useful in their own ways like coins, keys, small ipod, lipstick/lip balm, tissue pocket & wand holder(Harry Potter fans)etc. already said just individual own ways.

What is the significance of 18 holy steps @ Lord Ayyappa?

16th Sep 2011 was my first visit to Sabarimala, in fact that was a fortunate trip. Credit goes to my colleuge Raj, who introduced me to team in Bangalore, which is basically raised from HMT employees, and now it's being evolved as a unified family with diverse individual. I really enjoyed my every minute with group, rather just been to holy place. These is where everyone of us fortunately meet people of various age;passion, profession, attitude etc..

Pen down this post to share info to some of the very common question(s) appear looking over to any swami(devotees).
Lord Ayyappa (hindu deity worshiped in South India) is believed to be born out of the union btw Shiva and Mohini(avatar of Vishnu). a.k.a 'Harihara Puthra'

Reason behind the name Manikanta?
He was found(tied a golden bell 'mani' around his neck 'kandan') on banks of the Pampa river, soon after his birth.

Symbolism of the 18 steps?

Those who carry the irumudi on their head are only allowed to use the 18 holy steps.
steps 1 - 5: symbolize the five human senses(Panchendriyas - signify the `mortal’ nature of one’s body) - vision, hearing, smell, taste n touch.

steps 6 - 13: symbolize the eight ashtaragas - Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Maltsarya, Asooya n Dhumb. (Love, Anger, Avarice, Lust, Pride, Unhealthy Competition, Jealousy and Boastfulness).

steps 14 - 16: symbolize for three gunas; nature born qualities
i.e. Satva,( perspicuity, discernment) , Rajas(activity, enjoyment) and Thamas(inactivity, stupor).

steps 17 - 18: symbolize vidya (Knowledge) and avidya (Ignorance).

Why 18 steps?
The steps represent the 18 hills existing in and around the region of Sabarimala. Ponnambalamedu, Gowdenmala, Nagamala, Sundaramala, Chittambalamala, Khalgimala, Mathangamala, yladummala, Sreepadamala, Devarmala, Nilakkalmala, Thalapparamala, Neelimala, Karimala, Puthuserrymala,
Kalakettimala, Inchipparamala and Sabarimala.

Could be derived frm epics-
Eighteen is considered as the code number to break into the soul of the Nature. The significance of 18 can be traced back to the Vedic age. The first Veda, believed to be protected by Lord Brahma himself, had 18 chapters. Later, Veda Vyasa divided it to create the four vedas: Rigveda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda and Atharava Veda. Each of these vedas had 18 chapters.Veda Vyasa also wrote 18 puranas and 18 upa-puranas. The Bhagavad Gita has 18 chapters and the Kurukshetra war lasted 18 days.
What is Irumudi & it is used for?
Basically it means 2(iru) compartments,
- Munmudi(front) meant for Pooja articles
- Pinmudi(back) for journey requisites.

Significance of ghee-filled coconut?
Symbolically, the ‘ghee’ in the coconut represents the ‘soul.’ And the human body is represented by the coconut. After the arduous trek, when a devotee stands face to face with Lord Ayyappa – the ghee poured on the Lord symbolically represents the merging of the individual soul with the universal soul or the ‘Jivatma’ with ‘Paramatma.’
Finally, the empty coconut, which represents the body, is consumed by the fire in the ‘homakundam.’

Why 40 + 1  days of vratham?
Since the human form is the last form to get this enlightenment, 40 days spiritual discipline is undertaken to remind us the 40 weeks we were in mother's womb and the finally on the 41st day we take the final journey to Sabarimala. This knowledge of the Self requires help of a guru and so Ayyappa Vratham should be initiated with a Guru. The Guru initiates the practice  by putting a Tulsi mala (108 beads that represents the mathematical rhythm of nature).

Why do we wear black or blue dress?
Wearing black clothes is the traditional dress to indicate total with-drawl of mind and total absorption into the "Self" or "Atma". (Objects are black due to complete absorption of color spectra). Blue color is the color of illusion like the blue sky or blue ocean. To remind us the maya (illusion) of this mind, blue color is worn.

Why not to cut nails, shave not cut hair?
It is a great practice to give up the thought that we are not this body that is born and dead, but the immortal Consciousness principle, Brahman.  Importance is not given to physical comforts of body and so no shaving, no nail cutting, no wearing shoes etc is done so that it helps the mind to transcend from the body sense to the awareness state and finally to consciousness state.

How is a football player's running distance measured?

It was the 16th round of FIFA 2014, ARG vs SUI on pitch for pre-quarter-finals. You know it was absolutely 0-0 to both sides even after 70+ mins, and the team white n blue was struggling to be alive in tournament. So it was quite interesting, and entire ~8k audience eyes were on 2 strikers Shaqiri <> Messi. Unfortunately Messi was not at all heading to net; might be as he was boxed by swiss mid wingers

but DiMario was progressive around penalty area and corners, where as Messi was just on free-kicks.

I beleive it was Johan Djourou(of Swiss) substituted by other player at around 74th min, and while he was walking out, a feed appeared on screen "Johan total distance 2.3 km" I just wondered, how did they calculate Mr. Johan Djorou had run exactly 23000 meter in the that course??

The Union of European Football Associations(UEFA) document outlines - there is a tracking technology used to measure a football player's running distance during a game. It is a complex system of 16 cameras; field is divided among 16 cameras, with each one filming its own area. Computers setup on other side keep analyze the feeds inflow from all the 16 cameras and then calculate trajectories of player movements. In this way the system can also determine elements such as shot speeds and distances between a goal and ball position during free kicks.

It also says that, the UEFA has tested the system against proprietary tracking systems used by individual clubs, and also by sending people on predetermined, fixed-length trajectories, and found it to be generally accurate within 3%.

Eventually, that too after course of 118 minutes, DiMario(#7 of ARG) headed the net bypassing 3+goalie in a row, from distance of around 45 yards. Here, I must say it was a brilliant admit (pic above)  from Mr. Lionel Messi.

white and blue beat red to clinch a place in quarter finales of 2014 carniball

Cheers to Lionel Messi and Angel DiMario

Why is Wimbledon so special?

Nothing has changed here over the 135 summers, since 1877 and the value that has been shown to this event can even gray out the quote "Change is the only constant". And now it is one of the greatest sporting events in the world!!

What is the specialty exist in it? how is it still holding the huge audience in the emerging world, when people expect changes in anything and everything they do?

Yes, there are some changes, to the audience rather than in the event itself. Below are those sensational things that entitle popularity for ever.

Grass court: that is certainly used only for 2 weeks in a year.

Royalty bow: followed tradition, players to bow to the members of the royal family seated in the royal box upon entering or leaving court.

White clothing: including hats, socks and shoes to be almost entirely white.

Salutation: players are referred to as Mr, Miss and Mrs in each and every instances.

Nomenclature: while all other tournaments have men and women's singles and doubles, Wimbledon has a more formal way for addressing it as Ladies' and Gentlemen's singles or doubles.

Only ground roll: no ball boys throw or toss ball to player.

Day break: the middle sunday of the Wimbledon fortnight is always a day off in tournament.

Clear ground: Wimbledon does not put any sponsor advertising around its courts.

Tickets: Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam tournament where fans without tickets for a match can queue up and still get seat.

Strawberries & cream: Spectators and players are offered strawberries and cream as the typical stand food at the tournament.

Umbrellas: Rain is as much a part of Wimbledon as the adrenaline-pumping on-court action. And, although the rain does put a brake on the game, it allows photographers some pretty scenic shots. Also, accompanying the rain always are plenty of umbrellas, many in dark green and purple - the colour of Wimbledon.

Towels: Even towels and handkerchief provided to players would have pattern of dark green & purple; cloths supplied by Welspun.

Little Brown BAT

That was dinner time, while waiting for my food I was watching TV. It was one of the kannada news channel suvarna 24/7 I watch regularly, and the program was our sandalwood actress Ragini dwivedi's celebrating her birthday(24th May) in one of the blind school in Bangalore...

Shashank my nephew shouted when a bat fly just beside his head, after a while a discussion caught me - he says it's animal when my aunt was telling it's a bird, and some story on it's indication within home... ... ...

Isn't it a BIRD? Everyone might have seen it flying close by even though it appears rarely; will be active only in dark time. Are you sure it's BIRD??

@ that moment my preference was to capture it... become an habit since day one I bought my smartphone.

okay, let me come to the point... To be frank with you, even I didn't know that bat is an animal until that. hare why should I get doubt when I have seen it flying around many times. Here comes up my curious mind, a reason to pen down this post.

Bat is the only animal that can't walk! The limbs and feet of bat don't help it to stand and walk, hope you have the reason now to say why it fly. I presume that this could be the one reason, that we haven't had got chance to cite it's face, if am not wrong.

But there is one more strange thing, for whoever knew that it was an animal. ie. it actually get relax by two posture,
1. What most of us have seen - lays on floor or any supporting object, it is just like a nap when it gets tired of flying.

2. Below image says all about the second method, which I haven't seen so far. Any chance have you??

You know? their claws are in the shape of hooks. So when bat wants to rest, the easiest thing for it is to use their hook-shaped claws for the grip and to swing. That appears to be the most comfortable position as it also helps to glide easily in the air.

Why 1 is called ONE & 2 called TWO...?

You're just lines away. In between let me share the thought that comes up to my mind, while I was finding reason for this crazy question.
Assume a worlds lengthiest class room, where students are seated in series of rows. No matter how many rows!! only front and the last row are those who will create history or they would be the 2 pillars for almost all discoveries & innovations around. I meant there will be a connection exist between two entities, without them there would have no space for this simple post; mapping the front row would be the entity which has found or find reason to all the queries raised by last row entity.

The numbers we write are made up of algorithms, (1, 2, 3, 4, etc) called Arabic algorithms.

What is the logic that exists in Arabic algorithm?

There are angles!
If you look at the original Phoenician primitive algorithmic representation of numerals, the angles in the written representation of each of the numbers dictates the number's name.

1 (without the bar at the bottom in the original, primitive text) would have only one angle where the diagonal line meets the vertical line.
2 written in primitive text is a "Z" with two angles, one where the top horizontal line meets with the diagonal line, and another where the bottom horizontal line meets with the diagonal line. If you look at an image of the Phoenician numbers

similarly...

 &
and the most interesting and intelligent of all is

                                                                         ha ha...

Why would dogs hang their tongue OUT?

Most of time we have heard that people certainly map one's nose to dog's, when he or she could typically figure out something by smell. But the thing caught my attention while looking at the dog why dogs would have their TONGUE hanging out! lol
It's known for smelling sense... But tongue out for? And not every dog put it out just when it is hungry, although few does it but more randomly.

Any guess why it does? okay have you ever noticed a dog sweating either when it is tired chasing or in the street even sunny day. I hope by now you might have recalled any situation if you have lately seen any dog hanging their tongue out post reaching you by run.

Strange part here is that, they don't have no sweat glands except for on their tongues so they poke their tongue out to cool off. Dogs have a high body temperature and they hang their tongues out to let heat out through their tongues. So it's just their way of relaxing; rather than pointing it as sweating.

Why are rain clouds dark?

Comparatively Bangalore residents would have felt this often! For only reason, almost everyone doesn’t want to waste any space within their site; even for passage in between houses & to the compound gates.
For example - we might have seen few very flexibly built compound gates that can safeguard the vehicles parked on the road; which actually supposed to do when parked inside.

Better late than never! BBMP finally realized the smart people around the city, and come up with smarter plan late in 2011 that, # of car parking space must be equal to # of kitchens in the building, must be shown up in architecture approval proposal.

The reason why rainy clouds appear dark are due to their particulate density. As the clouds form from minuscule water droplets and ice crystals, before rain starts water vapor would have the higher density, the denser they are packed, it makes the cloud turn up to thicker & BIG. And hence it blocks out most of the sun light passes through; lending a darker appearance to their lower sections.

And the best supporting fact I found - visualization by flight journey. With clouds on an overcast day seemed grayed out when viewed on the runway, yet a bright white above the cloud.
Essentially, the deeper & denser a cloud formation is, the less light will pass through it.

Certainly 1 don't prefer to sleep facing head north

Most of us have a belief, that sleeping with head facing north would invite the lord of death. Indian mythology is concerned, South is the direction of lord Yama(a.k.a - The God of Death).

Simple reason why we ignore most of the Indian traditional belief is, either most of the elder family member didn't understand the reason behind or we had no chance to get to know.

scientific reason behind is -
With the fundamentals of magnetism, south pole is the source of positive energy, whereas north pole is considered to be the source of negative energy. Head facing north, and if already tired human brain gets negative energy, then it would take more time to exhilarate and work efficiently.

Also, in the long run, the constant exposure to negative energy might reduce the efficiency of the brain gradually. Post stressful job, sleeping with head facing south, one would get contemporary state of mind, comparatively faster.

Agent 007

Ian Fleming
(28 May 1908 – 12 August 1964), While he had been working as an officer in British naval intelligence during the Second World War, he has also written many of spy novels.
In 1952, for one of his story, he has created a fictional character revolved as James Bond (code number, 007), an intelligence officer in the Secret Intelligence Service, commonly known as MI6. This becomes one of the longest continually-running film series in history, having been in on-going production from 1962 to the present. In that time Eon Productions has produced 23 films, usually produced at Pinewood Studios. This has become second-highest-grossing film series (behind Harry Potter) and the single most successful adjusted for inflation.
After Fleming's death, in 1981, thriller writer John Gardner picked up the series with Licence Renewed. Gardner went on to write sixteen Bond books in total; two of the books he wrote – Licence to Kill and GoldenEye – were novelizations of Eon Productions films of the same name. In 1996, Gardner retired from writing James Bond books due to ill health.
In 1996, American author Raymond Benson became the author (until 2002) of the Bond novels. Benson had written six Bond novels, three novelizations (The World Is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies & Die Another Day). After a gap of six years, Sebastian Faulks was commissioned by Ian Fleming Publications to write a new Bond novel, which was released on 28 May 2008, the 100th anniversary of Ian Fleming's birth.
Later in 2009 American writer Jeffery Deaver was then commissioned by Ian Fleming Publications.
